1.   Les saisons et les mois de l’année:

Le printemps     mars avril mai
L’été                      juin juillet août
L’automne       septembre octobre novembre
L’hiver              décembre janvier février

2. La date et les jours de la semaine

To express a date in French, the pattern is: 

le  +  NUMBER  +  MONTH

le       11 (onze)        novembre

le       20 (vingt)       mai

Exception: The first of the month is le premier.

➔ In front of numbers, the French use le (and never l') : le onze, le huit.

➔ Note that when dates are abbreviated in French, the day always comes first:
2/8 le deux août, 1/11 le premier novembre

• C'est le premier juin

How to talk about birthdays

Joyeux anniversaire! = Happy Birthday!

C'est quand, ton anniversaire?
